Our beds

Dog pressure mapped on the floor – this shows high pressure points over the thigh, side chest and shoulder.

Same dog pressure mapped on a non-orthopaedic dog bed – here we see reduced pressure across the thigh but still very high pressure across the chest wall and shoulder.

Pressure mapped on an OrthoLuxe bed, showing much reduced pressure spread evenly and safely across the body surface.

Pressure mapping for our tests and trials is done in our volunteer pets’ own homes so they feel safe, and with lots of cuddles and treats (Myrtle’s favourite is peanut butter…)
Using objective measures of pressure relief allow us to demonstrate how the orthopaedic foam design cushions joints, moves pressure away from high risk areas, and helps canine arthritis management.
And by using pets in our research, we know that we’re getting it right for them.
We’re proud to say that we aren’t stopping there. We believe there is always more research to be done, and that’s why we’re working with veterinary organisations across the country to continue to develop a deeper understanding of the power of sleep for our older or arthritic pets.
We’re always open to collaborations for research into sleep for our companion animals, so please do drop us a line at info@vetrelieve.com if you would be interested in working with us.
Orthopaedic foam is temperature-sensitive, softening with body heat to create a cozy, warm recovery surface. This can help soothe anxious or uncomfortable dogs, making them feel more secure during their stay at the clinic. For dogs prone to overheating, our active surface is cooler, helping reduce risk of overheating.
Orthopaedic foam is known for its durability, making it a practical choice for high-traffic veterinary practices. It maintains its shape and supportive qualities even with frequent use, ensuring long-lasting comfort for multiple patients.
The disinfectable outer is essential in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in a veterinary setting, and the recovery fabric itself is antibacterial, antimycotic and antifungal, supporting infection control.
Our Founder
Dr. Lauren’s unique background in both veterinary medicine and NHS sleep research led her to recognise the crucial gap in animal sleep health. By combining her expertise, she founded VetRelieve and, through science-backed methods, VetRelieve helps animals overcome sleep disturbances, ultimately enhancing their well-being and quality of life.
Lauren graduated from vet school in the UK in 2011. Her main love has always been small animals, with a focus on chronic pain conditions such as osteoarthritis.
IN 2019 due to family circumstances, Lauren left the veterinary profession for human healthcare, developing clinical mattresses for people in hospital, hospice and nursing home settings.
Now, Lauren puts all her energy into developing beds for pets that support their sleep quality and joint health along with advocation for the importance of pain perception and wellbeing.
Our environment
At VetRelieve, our mission is to enhance the well-being of pets by providing veterinarian-developed, orthopaedic bedding solutions that offer superior comfort and pressure relief, particularly for those prone to joint pain.
We are committed to supporting pet owners with expert guidance and sustainable products, ensuring every pet enjoys restful sleep and improved joint health.
We’re proud to be officially endorsed by Tiny Eco, a trusted name in sustainable living—recognising our commitment to the environment.
All our beds can be sent back at the end of their life for recycling or repurposing. We are committed to keeping as much out of landfill as possible, and are set up to turn old products into new beds for charities and rescue centres.
Our dog beds are eco-conscious and made to last. From design to delivery, every step is thoughtfully considered to reduce environmental impact.
We use them to give you the best experience. If you continue using our website, we’ll assume that you are happy to receive all cookies on this website.
